Printable Large-Print Puzzles

Every puzzle game here has a Print this puzzle button, so you can put an endless supply of fresh puzzles on paper in big, clear print. Lovely for solving in an armchair with a pencil and a cup of tea — and handy for activity organisers who need a stack of materials for a group.

How it works

  1. Open any of the puzzles listed below.
  2. Set it up the way you like it — the size, the difficulty, the theme.
  3. Press Print this puzzle.
  4. Your browser’s own print window opens. Send it to paper, or choose Save as PDF if you would rather keep it for later.

Nothing is downloaded and nothing is installed. The buttons, adverts, menus and the rest of the page all drop away — only the puzzle itself lands on the page, sized to fill it. And the printed puzzle is always empty, so whatever you had already filled in on screen stays on screen.

The puzzles you can print

There is a Daily Cat Sudoku as well, if you like the idea of everybody working on the same puzzle.

Kind to your printer

The sheets print black on white. No shaded grids and no heavy backgrounds to drink up your ink — just crisp lines and big, dark type, the way a good puzzle book looks. They print just as well on a cheap black-and-white printer as on an expensive colour one, and they photocopy cleanly if you need twenty copies for a group.

The one exception is Cat Sudoku, where the colours are the puzzle: its regions print as very pale tints, and each region is also outlined in heavy black so the sheet still works perfectly if you print it in black and white.

For activity organisers

If you run a coffee morning, a day centre or a care-home activity hour, this is the quickest way to get a room’s worth of puzzles ready. Print a stack of Word Searches in a few minutes, or print the same Daily Sudoku for everyone so that the group is working on one shared puzzle. Print a hard one and an easy one and let people choose. There is no licence to worry about and nothing to pay.

Prefer to play on screen?

Every one of these puzzles plays perfectly well in the browser too, with big print, a Hint button and no timer. Browse all our brain puzzles or our word games, or see every free game on the site.
