What the topics are
Five to choose from, and the choice is the point. A quiz is only fun when the questions come from a world you actually know.
- Classic Movies. The films people grew up with rather than this year’s releases.
- Golden Oldies Music. Singers, bands and songs from the decades that still get hummed.
- General Knowledge. Geography, history, science, the ordinary sort.
- Nature & Gardening. Birds, trees, flowers and the things that eat them.
- Food & Cooking. Dishes, ingredients and where they came from.
Pick a topic, answer ten, see how you did, and start another round if you feel like it. There is no daily limit and no “come back tomorrow”.
No timer, and why that matters
Recall is not a race. The moment a clock appears on screen, a question you would have answered comfortably becomes a question you fumble, and the whole thing stops being enjoyable. There is no timer here, on this or any other game on the site.
You also will not find:
- a leaderboard comparing you to strangers
- a running score kept between rounds
- an email address required before you can see your answers
- an advert between questions
Get one wrong and the quiz tells you the right answer and moves on. That is the whole feedback loop.
Reading it comfortably
Questions and answers are set in large, high-contrast type, and each answer is a full-width button rather than a small radio dot, so it can be tapped without precision. The Text size control at the bottom of the screen makes everything bigger still, and it remembers your choice for the next visit.
On a phone or tablet, Focus mode clears the page down to the quiz itself so nothing competes with the question.
A daily habit, if you want one
