Daily Free Trivia Quiz for Seniors: Ten a Day
The daily quiz is at Daily Trivia. You get ten multiple-choice questions, mixed across five topics, and a new set arrives each day. Tap an answer, see straight away whether you were right, and move on. It is free to play, and you do not need an account or an email address.
What is in the daily quiz?
Ten questions, two from each of five topics: Classic Movies, Golden Oldies Music, General Knowledge, Nature and Gardening, and Food and Cooking. You do not choose the topics. The mix is picked for you, and the order of the questions and the order of the four answers are shuffled.
After each answer the quiz tells you the right one and adds a short note about it. When you have answered all ten, you see your score. Anything you missed is listed again with the correct answer.
There is no timer and no lives. Take as long as you like on each question. You cannot fail it, and a wrong answer only means you learn the right one.
Is the daily quiz the same for everyone?
Yes. Today’s ten questions are worked out from today’s date, so anyone who opens Daily Trivia on the same day gets the same ten, in the same order. No question appears twice in one day’s quiz. If you and a friend both play, you can compare notes afterwards.
The day changes over at midnight UTC. That is midnight in London in winter and seven in the evening in New York, so the new quiz may turn up at an odd hour where you live.
Does it remember my score?
Yes, in your own browser. Your answers for the day are saved there. If you close the page halfway through, it picks up at the next question when you come back. If you have already finished, it shows your result again. You cannot play the same day’s quiz a second time.
The quiz also keeps a count of how many days in a row you have finished it. That count lives on your own device only. There is no account, and if you miss a day it starts again from one without any message. A different browser or a different device starts its own count.
What if I want more than ten questions?
Use the Trivia Quiz. There you pick one topic and play as many rounds as you like, each with ten fresh questions. The topics and how a round works are covered in my post about the Trivia Quiz.
The daily quiz is the one to use if you want a short, fixed task each morning, like a crossword. If you like that kind of routine, Daily Sudoku is another puzzle that changes once a day.
