Large-Card Solitaire for Seniors — Free, No Download

If you have gone looking for a game of Solitaire lately, you have probably run into two problems: the cards are far too small to read comfortably, and the site wants you to download an app or make an account before you can play a single hand. For a game as simple and familiar as Solitaire, that is far too much fuss.

Every Solitaire here is the opposite: big, high-contrast cards, the classic rules you already know, and nothing to install. You open the page and play.

Why big cards matter so much

Most free Solitaire sites cram a full deck onto the screen at once, which leaves each card tiny — the rank and suit in the corner become almost impossible to read at a glance. Our cards are drawn large and bold, with clear red and black suits (and a suit symbol as well as colour, so they are easy to tell apart even if colour is hard to see). The whole board is designed to be read from a comfortable distance, and a one-tap control makes everything larger still if you like.

The classic: Klondike Solitaire

This is the Solitaire everyone pictures — the one that came free with every computer. Build the four foundation piles from Ace up to King, moving cards in alternating red and black. Our large-card Klondike Solitaire uses click-to-move (no fiddly dragging), an always-on Hint, unlimited Undo, and an Auto-finish button for the satisfying end of a winning game.

Nothing to download, on any device

Because these run right in your web browser, there is nothing to download and no account to make — not on a computer, not on an iPad, not on an Android tablet. Just open the page. A helpful tip on a tablet: open the game once, then use your browser’s “Add to Home Screen” so it gets its own icon, exactly like an app — but with nothing installed.

And there are no pop-up ads over the game and no timer, ever. Deal a hand whenever you like and take all the time in the world.
